P+S Technik Is Pleased To Announce...

News Image
The first sets of fully rehoused Kowa Anamorphic lenses have been shipped to customers in Europe and the United States.

Among the first rental houses in Europe to receive their Kowa Anamorphic lenses rehoused include Ljud & Bildmedia in Sweden, Ludwig Kameraverleih in Germany and VMI in Great Britain. In the United States, the first owners include Otto Nemenz Int. in Hollywood, Camtec in Burbank and Cine Mechanics in Minnesota.

This latest service in P+S TECHNIK's range of lens rehousings offers a new, durable housing and mechanics for the popular Kowa Anamorphic lenses.

This latest rehousing by P+S TECHNIK not only totally replaces the original lens shell but importantly, also the original, fragile mechanics, which were not built to stand the rigours of modern lens control systems.

This more durable design maintains the lenses to be near their original weight and form factor, which made them so popular.

"Thus, the stability of the whole mechanism is ensured and so the lenses are less prone to failure," says Anna Piffl, Managing Director at P+S TECHNIK, and continues "an additional benefit is that we keep all spares for this new mechanism in stock."

The rehousing service includes new internal focus mechanics, a PL mount as well as identically positioned gear rings throughout the set. The rehoused lenses have an 80mm front diameter for ease of use with clip-on matte boxes and a 77mm thread for convenient use of screw-in filters.

Key product features:

1) Improved durability & focus mechanics along with same form factor
2) 80mm front diameter and a 77mm screw-in filter thread
3) All spare parts in-stock for the entire mechanism.
