EVANS JOINS dB BROADCAST

GARETH Evans has joined Cambridgeshire-based systems integrator dB Broadcast as Project Manager.
He was previously senior project engineer at Megahertz Communications.
Gareth has spent over 20 years in the broadcast industry. He joined BBC Wales from school as a technical assistant and qualified as a BBC engineer three years later. After that he gained experience as an electronic maintenance engineer and latterly worked on projects.
In 1985, after 10 years at the BBC, he joined Television South West in Plymouth as a project engineer. There he managed projects such as the introduction of PSC editing and transmission systems, studio and MCR refurbishment's, and a remote studio and inject facility at Yeovil.
He joined Megahertz Communications in 1992 and managed a wide range of studio based and OB vehicle projects, both in the UK and abroad. The vehicle projects included satellite uplink vehicles, TV and radio OB vans. The studio-based projects included a news studio and MCR in Moscow, three studios in Italy and a MCR in Kuwait.
