Liverpool production company complete Avid DS Nitris purchase

Liverpool-based River are the first north west England facility to purchase an Avid DS Nitris system.
The equipment is to be installed in River’s new offices, The Tea Factory. River purchased the Avid DS Nitris system directly from Avid, who will also provide technical support, in a deal utilising Avid Financial Services.
River work on television, broadcast, film and corporate projects and, last year, were appointed as the media partner for Liverpool’s City of Culture campaign. River’s broad scope of work needed an adaptable solution and the team have been delighted by the versatility offered by the Avid DS Nitris system, which combines deep creative editing and finishing software with the most powerful media processing hardware available.
River have also expanded their creative team with the appointment of David George, former Creative Director at McCann Erickson.
Jon Corner, joint founder of River, said: “River are constantly growing our creative vision, both with investment in cutting edge technology and new staff members. The Avid DS Nitris will greatly increase the productivity of our postproduction facility, and this will be a significant factor in our intentions to strike out as the leading post-production facility in the North-West.”
