Canon Digi Super 86XS released

Following in the footsteps of the widely acclaimed Canon Digi Super 86XS comes the new Digi Super100XS (XJ100x9.3B), which made its first public appearance at IBC 2002.
Remarkably this monster zoom ratio performance has been achieved within the same dimensions and weight as the Digi Super 70X and also includes all the latest technologies from Canon. With the same wide angle of 9.3mm, the new DIGI Super 100XS has a focal length range of 9.3 - 930mm (18.6 - 1860mm with 2X extender), representing a 38% increase over that available for the Digi Super 70X.
The built-in image stabiliser of the Digi Super 100XS, which counteracts the effects of image shake caused by shooting on the move, wind velocity, movement on platforms and towers beneath the camera or an unsteady grip, becomes even more relevant in the context of its enormous telephoto focal length.
No less important than its zoom ratio performance is Canon's unique 'Power Optical System' and 'X-element', which not only results in achieving higher specifications and optical quality in a compact size, but also greatly reduce chromatic aberrations at the Tele-end.
Like all Canon Digi Super lenses, the new 100X delivers outstanding optical performance in both the HDTV and SDTV environments.
