BES To Display 4K Video Patching Panel At IBC 2016

The only ultra high definition video patching panel on the market, will be showcased at this year's IBC exhibition in Amsterdam.

"Since its launch last year, we have seen demand for the panel increase in line with the uptake of 4K technology by both professional broadcasters and consumers," explains Darren Fuller, Director of Sales at BES.

"Consumers are being inspired to purchase 4K TV's since they can actually see a difference in the quality, encouraging broadcasters, who may have previously been hesitant, to make the transition. By exceeding 12GHz performance, the future-proof panel is ideal for UHD broadcasting duties."

The 4K video patching panel meets and exceeds SMPTE ST 2082-1 with the re-engineered MUdigSA style connectors enabling the panel to achieve beyond 12GHz for future performance expectations.

Up to 2 x 32 connectors are available in a 1U panel, plus 4 x 24 in a 3U panel, with sockets mounted in injection moulded blocks to provide slight movement for easy alignment, and complete isolation of connectors.

A powder coating in either storm grey, dawn grey or black provides a robust and aesthetically pleasing finish, making the panels ideal for use in general broadcasting, satellite uplinks, within the studio, or for outside broadcasting trucks.
