Convera empower Pankhurst's product research

Pankhurst Design & Developments (PDD), one of Europe's leading product innovation consultants, have installed Convera's Screening Room video content management software to assist in their product research efforts.
PDD's team of 50 researchers and product designers will use Screening Room to more effectively capture, access and re-purpose video footage of consumers using a wide variety of products in normal every day environments.
Using this digitised video footage, PDD are able to assist their clients in identifying consumer usage patterns and possible room for improvements across their vast range of products, which spans mobile telephones through to medical equipment.
Prior to the installation of Screening Room, PDD's designers could not access research information until the videotapes had been summarised within a document or presentation. However, designers now have almost immediate access to the footage which enables them to quickly search for and view precise video segments from their desk, subsequently enhancing their understanding of the research data to the benefit of its clients.
