MultiDyne To Unveil New Product Design Innovations

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems heads to InfoComm in Orlando next month with new product design innovations that address the growing need for converged broadcast and AV solutions that work across disparate wide-bandwidth networks.
At Booth 5665, MultiDyne will demonstrate the power of 12G-SDI transport and 10G extension across five core product families that have gained traction in the evolving Enterprise Broadcast AV market.
12G-SDI transport uses a single-link foundation to move high-resolution 4K/UHD video through the infrastructure and across networks. That single-link connectivity replaces the 3G-SDI quad-link architecture long used in the broadcast and production space, where 4K video typically moved over four coaxial or fiber optic cables.
The 12G-SDI uncompressed format and its ease of deployment have led to adoption in the Enterprise Broadcast sector as the demand for high-quality video has increased. Additionally in AV environments, video often moves over 1Gb and/or 10Gb IP networks using a wide range of protocols including ST 2110 (IPMX) and SDVoE. MultiDyne has solutions to make these networks more efficient through fiber usage.
InfoComm marks the North American debut of 10G Ethernet capability in MultiDyne's VersaBrix fiber transport series, FiberSaver wavelength-shifting multiplexers, SilverBack fiber camera adapters, NanoBrix miniature converters, and VF-9000 fiber optic transport system — all of which added 12G-SDI support over the past five years. Bringing 12G-SDI and 10GbE support together offers exception value for customers that require the high-resolution, single-cable throughput of 12G-SDI; and the capacity to transmit that high-quality video over 10GbE networks with very low latency.
Specifically, MultiDyne's latest updates allow integrators, mobile production companies and campus technology teams to extend 10GbE copper LAN connections over greater distances by placing them onto fiber. One example is the NanoBrix NB2-10G-TRX, which provides a cost-effective miniature solution to extend 10GbE Ethernet signals over one fiber optic cable. MultiDyne is in the early stage of bringing a new generation of NanoBrix audio and video converters to market with 12G-SDI and 10GbE support, the first of which will debut at InfoComm.
MultiDyne will also highlight how the VersaBrix Series can send multiple 10GbE copper LAN connections over one fiber while optically isolating each network in the mix. This application simplifies network management, while meeting the stringent network division security requirements of enterprise businesses on the same fiber. For 12G-SDI transport, VersaBrix products can move ten 12G-SDIs from a machine room and output ten HDMI 2.0 signals at the receive side - or achieve the same in the opposite direction.
VersaBrix products pair especially well with VF-9000s frames, commonly used on mobile production as a central fiber transmission and management system. MultiDyne will release the VF-9100 with a restful API later this year to broaden integration opportunities with industry leading command and control systems.
MultiDyne will also highlight its solution is live cinematic multicam workflows, using SilverBack Fiber Camera Adapters to convert the latest digital cinema cameras into SMPTE fiber-based studio cameras. Digital cinema cameras have native technical benefits that make them ideal for shooting on stages with LED backgrounds including global shutters and shallow depth of field. Multiple 12G-SDI channels and an upcoming addition of 10GbE make the SilverBack perfect for emerging workflows, including immersive image acquisition for the Apple Vision Pro and other AR/VR systems.
