Al-Jazeera adopt Pinnacle character generators and clip servers
Al-Jazeera, the Qatar based broadcaster, has ordered additional live production tools from Pinnacle to support its new documentary channel which is due for launch in early 2004.
The decision is part of a strategy to standardise all character generators and clip servers across the organisation to Pinnacle Systems Dekos and Thunders respectively. The new order consists of: four Deko 1000 character generators; one Thunder XL clip server; and one FXDeko II character generator - integrated with DekoObjex, an option which allows broadcasters to deliver multiple simultaneous information graphics to air using a single character generator; and ClipDeko, an integrated video clip player/recorder.
The installation compliments the existing DekoCast, FXDekoII, and Deko2200s that are already in use at Al-Jazeera.
