V&A To Feature In BVE Presentation

Kati Price, head of digital media at the Victoria & Albert Museum, is to make a keynote presentation at this year's BVE Show on the building's multimedia capabilities.

'An exploration of the multiplatform strategy at the Victoria and Albert Museum' in the Connected Theatre will see Ms Price discuss the museum's facilities, which provide a 'live' experience to online visitors, even if they are not able to visit in person.

The show will also feature a panel discussion on 'Tools to creatively capture live audiences' in the Production Theatre, providing advice from leading broadcasters and production companies on how to gain and retain viewers.

A case study on Arsenal FC will look at using media to increase fan engagement and the challenges of live streaming.

Other new products and AV equipment companies at this year's show include:

Digi-Box (Stand G20) will be showcasing Newtek live production equipment including the Tricaster Mini, the compact multi-camera production system. NewTek is also running a competition on its EMEA Facebook page to win a TriCaster Mini and two JVC cameras, which will be drawn on Wednesday 25 February at 16:00 at BVE

Emerging (Stand M40) will present the latest networked audio over IP AD/DA and digital i/o products supporting Ravenna and Dante including HAPI and HORUS from Merging and the DAD AX32 monitor controller for the Avid S6

Groovy Gecko (Stand S39) will be giving demos of its Live Presentation System, which creates interactive live webcasts and delivers them into third party platforms such as Facebook and YouTube Live

Bryant (Stand R43) will show its 19-inch A/V and broadcast racking, custom metalwork, "eyePower" power distribution units for remote surveillance/control of rack equipment and audio/video and CAT 5e/6 network cable and connectors

Kramer Electronics (Stand L26) will showcase distribution amplifiers, switchers, format and standards converters, loud speakers, multi-viewers and cables

Alison Willis, Event Director, said: "If you are responsible for AV systems delivery within your organisation, either as an AV specialist or as a systems integrator, then BVE 2015 is not to be missed. Our array of acquisition, production, display and distribution technologies exhibited on the show floor will provide you with everything you need to create and deliver stunning content, and our free seminars from organisations including the V&A, Arsenal FC and the BBC will offer inspiration and information in equal measure."
