Matrox Brings Monarch HD To SATIS 2014

At this year's SATIS show in Paris, running 19 - 20 November, Matrox Video will feature its Monarch HD video streaming and recording appliance at Le Village YakYakYak Création and Workflow stand, D76.

Live demonstrations in French will be given daily in the theater by YakYakYak founder Olivier Vigneron.

Matrox Monarch HD is an H.264 encoder designed for professional video producers who need to simultaneously stream a live event and record a mastering-quality version for post-event editing.

Matrox Monarch HD generates an H.264-encoded stream compliant with RTSP or RTMP protocol from any HDMI input source such as a camera or switcher.

While encoding the video at bitrates suitable for live streaming, Matrox Monarch HD simultaneously records an MP4 or MOV file to an SD card, a USB drive, or a network-mapped drive.

The Monarch SDK, an HTTP-based API, includes documentation and sample code that let AV and broadcast equipment developers write applications to configure and control Monarch HD streaming capabilities.

Monarch HD can also be integrated with a Crestron controller, which allows operators to start and stop streaming and recording from within the Crestron interface.
