Media 100's 844/X gives impetus to production at Playboy TV
Media 100, a leading developer of advanced media systems, have announced that Playboy TV is the latest UK customer to invest in 844/X, the award-winning editing and compositing system, for creating complex, multi-layer video.
Playboy TV are the world's leading producer of erotic material, delivered in 200 countries worldwide. The 844/X was recently installed in its Hayes office, UK which broadcasts across Europe, and has already had a significant impact on throughput and resourcing.
The company has been using Media 100 i systems for the last six years, but needed to upgrade to be capable of handling multi layer video. Initially the company installed a combination of Avid MC and Adobe After Effects. While these products could handle the multi layer jobs, Playboy were disappointed to find that the rendering times were still prohibitively lengthy. It was at this point that they heard about 844/X from reseller Cypher AMS.
