Over 340 Exhibitors To Attend BVE 2014

BVE 2014, the essential event for content creation professionals, is to present more than 340 international exhibitors that will offer their latest technologies, products and services for taking content from conception to consumption.
BVE 2014 takes place at ExCeL London from 25-27 February 2014.
BVE offers visitors an invaluable opportunity to handle, test and compare products before making a buying decision, and the comprehensive broadcast exhibition often provide the first opportunity to see products introduced at IBC. Exhibitors include Avid, Atomos, Blackmagic, Calrec Audio, Canon, Cirro Lite, Coptercraft, EVS, Panasonic and Sony. The dedicated Production Services exhibition area also offers a vast array of knowledge, advice and services for production professionals, with exhibitors including Rigging Services, Blue Skies Partnership, Ravensbourne, AKM Music and AON Ltd.
A small selection of exhibitors and their news at BVE 2014 includes:
• JVC (Stand D10) will launch its first 50Mbps camcorders at BE 2014. The two GY-HM800 Series shoulder mount camcorders each feature dual codecs, advanced HD streaming, 12-bit image processing and an interchangeable 20x autofocus zoom lens.
• Snell (Stand F15) will bring its Kahuna Maverik modular-based control surface for the Kahuna 360 production switcher to BVE for the first time. Another show debut is the newly extended ICE channel-in-a-box family, which packs even more functionality into a smaller footprint including advanced graphics capabilities.
• Matrox Video (Stand H19) will showcase the Matrox Monarch HD, a small, easy-to-use video streaming and recording appliance designed for professional video producers who need to simultaneously stream a live event and record a mastering-quality version for post-event editing. In addition, Matrox will show a new multi-camera recording app that gives live event producers complete independent control over capture of the four inputs connected to the VS4 to create files for use with popular editing apps.
• Holdan (Stand J32) will present the UK debut of Panasonic's new 10bit AVC-Ultra camcorders that feature broadcast HD 4:2:2 codecs from 25 to 200Mb/s, meaning that broadcast quality HD can be transported over fast broadband networks at high speed.
• Canford (Stand J76) will be flying the flag for British design and manufacturing, with new products including the Canford Test Tone Oscillator (outputting 40Hz, 400Hz, 1KHz, 10KHz or 15KHz), automatic cable tester MK4 used for testing long or short cables, multi-cores and fixed installation cabling, and a Phase Check system which includes a generator and detector to allow fast testing of the polarity of acoustic transducers, microphone and electronic devices.
• TSL Products (Stand H25) is taking on loudness compliance at the show, showcasing its PAM1 MK2 Precision Audio Monitor which features a built-in loudness histogram that provides a visual representation of loudness against time, so users can be absolutely confident that outgoing signals are compliant. In addition, the PAM PiCo range of Audio and Loudness Meters has some brand new features for BVE, including a 3G video preview, improved GUI and SMPTE linear timecode recognition.
• NewTek (Stand F20) will present its family of professional TriCaster multi-camera production systems that were unveiled at IBC 2013. These systems offer innovations including mix/effects (M/E) channels, 'holographic' live virtual sets and extended graphics capabilities that enable video producers to create broadcast quality, cost-effective content with a single system. Also on display will be 3Play 4800, NewTek's flagship multi-camera replay server.
• Clear-Com (Stand C34) will bring several new and enhanced intercom systems to BVE 2014, including the Eclipse HX-Delta digital matrix system which is ideally suited to the space limitations of OB vehicles and flyaways, and the enhanced Tempest Digital Wireless Intercoms, a wireless device suitable for single studios and hire companies that enables the deployment of comms without the requirement of frequency co-ordination and licences.
• Pyser-SGI (Stand D21) will highlight the latest TV-Logic Monitors, including the new LUM-300W 4K Monitor which provides true 4K resolution, with a 31-inch native 4096 x 2160 10 bit display that offers choice of either full screen 4K video or four individual 1920 x 1080 images. The versatile LUM-300W is suitable for high-end 4K cinema post production as well as high resolution industrial, military, medical and CAD design applications.
