Tyrell to showcase leading technology at The Production Show

Tyrell, a leading provider of technology to the UK's post-production and broadcast industry, have released details of their plans for The Production Show 2003 (May 20-22 Olympia, London) and a new Soho training facility, to open in June 2003.
The Tyrell stand will showcase key solutions from the company's product portfolio, including innovative editing technology announced at NAB, high-end graphics and compositing, audio and 3-D animation systems from manufacturers such as Apple, Alias Wavefront, Avid, Digidesign, Discreet and Softimage.
As the only Discreet Advanced Solutions Reseller in England, Scotland and Wales, Tyrell and Discreet will be partnering to provide main stage hourly demonstrations of Smoke v5.3 and Flame v8.03, Discreet's leading online editing and finishing and visual effects systems. In addition, three individual workstations will provide one to one demos of Apple Shake v3 / Final Cut Pro 3, Digidesign Protools AVXL v6.0 and 3-D products Alias Wavefront Maya 5 and Softimage|XSI v.3.0. Tyrell's stand will also offer the UK's first opportunity to see the Avid Adrenaline system announced at the recent NAB convention in Las Vegas.
Tyrell have also announced the establishment of a Soho based training facility at their offices in London that will offer operational and technical courses for key products within the product portfolio, including Alias Wavefront's Maya, Apple Shake/Final Cut Pro, Avid editing products, Discreet and Softimage|XSI. A varied weekly programme of one, two or three day courses for anywhere between six to twelve pupils per class will be available.
For the first time, a London based full programme of Discreet systems courses will be available, following an investment in SGI Octanes, that will ensure hands on training for each student. The training facility, created in response to customer feedback, will provide a long sought for London based Discreet training facility for Smoke, Flint and Flame (existing and would be) operators and technical staff.
Simon Brett, Managing Director at Tyrell, said: "Tyrell's business is increasingly becoming based upon our ability to offer advice and assistance to clients to improve their workflow, whether that's in editing, compositing, 3D or 2D. The growth and change in our product portfolio since last year's Production Show and the establishment of this training facility reflect that, and together with a strong and established support offering provide our customers with a comprehensive, truly value added service."
