Tyrell announce comprehensive training facility

Tyrell have opened a dedicated training and skills centre at their Soho office, offering operational and technical courses in Discreet, 2D, 3D and video/audio editing products.
The training facility will offer a London-based monthly programme of Discreet smoke and flame courses. Each three-day course will offer five students an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system, learning on their own dedicated workstation. The training facility, created in response to customer feedback, will provide a long sought for London-based Discreet classroom learning environment and will in addition to regular smoke and flame courses offer specific scheduled courses for other Discreet systems.
In addition, Apple Computers recently appointed Tyrell as the only Apple accredited Shake training facility in the UK. Tyrell will provide various training courses of Shake - the now industry standard compositing tool, in response to the accelerating demand for trained compositing artists.
Other courses in 3D, video and audio editing will be available, providing training courses for media professionals that are run by media professionals who truly understand the technology from a working perspective.
Simon Brett, Managing Director of Tyrell, said: “Tyrell’s business is increasingly about our ability to offer advice and assistance to clients, whether that’s in editing, compositing, 2D or 3D. The establishment of this training facility reflects that and together with a strong and established support offering provides our customers with a comprehensive, truly value added service.”
A varied programme of beginner to advanced level one; two and three day courses will be available. All details can be found on the training page of the Tyrell website, www.tyrell.co.uk, which includes details of courses available, a three month course diary and all reservation, booking and payment information.
