Blackmagic Announces New Adobe® Support

News Image
Blackmagic Design has used its presence at the NAB Show in Las Vegas to announce the news that its entire range of desktop video products will support the next generation of professional video editing software from Adobe®, including Adobe® Premiere® Pro and Adobe After Effects®.
The integration will be available as a free download from the Blackmagic Design site when these future Adobe products are available.
Adobe's next generation of pro video tools will include new editing timelines and shortcuts and audio mixing with Adobe Premiere Pro and new creative and visual effects tools with Adobe After Effects.
The integration will continue to include Blackmagic Design support for Adobe Mercury Transmit that allows broadcast video monitoring to connect directly into the Adobe Mercury Playback engine that gives an incredible amount of real time effects with any video format and codec.
Blackmagic Design's award winning DeckLink, UltraStudio and Intensity lines will be able to take advantage of the new features being included in the next versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
DeckLink, UltraStudio and Intensity lines include the world's highest performance capture and playback cards for Mac, Windows and Linux.
With Blackmagic Design capture and playback solutions, customers using Adobe's next generation of pro video tools will be able to capture
and work with both compressed and uncompressed video formats. Video can be captured from decks, cameras, live feeds and other sources for editing, compositing and graphics production.
"Blackmagic Design products are designed to allow customers to have the freedom to work with whatever products and in whatever medium they want. Both Adobe and Blackmagic Design understand that customers need to work with the best tools, and Adobe's next generation video products have been built around incredible new editing and effects features, but also around being open applications," said Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design.
