Adobe announce 2003 Design Achievement Awards

Adobe Systems have announced a call for entries for the 2003 Adobe Design Achievement Awards.
The third annual awards program honours the most talented and promising student designers, illustrators, digital filmmakers and computer artists from leading US, Canadian and British design schools.
Using the latest versions of Adobe software, students can submit projects in eight categories, ranging from print to photography to digital media and the web. Five distinguished and independent design professionals, including Noreen Morioka and Alexander Gelman, will serve as judges and select winners based on overall impact, design execution and level of technical capabilities.
First place winners will receive US$5,000, and a trip to Chicago to attend the awards ceremony. Additionally they will receive 10 Adobe products of their choice, have the opportunity to showcase their work, and meet with design industry professionals attending the awards event.
Students will be able to submit their entries from April 1, 2003 to May 15, 2003.
The entries will be judged in early June, with the finalists contacted shortly thereafter. The winners will be announced at an event on August 7, 2003 at The Art Institute of Chicago.
