NAB 2003 Debut for nucoda Film Master
At NAB 2003 nucoda are to introduce nucoda Film Master, a resolution-independent film grading and mastering system.
Film Master brings significant benefits to the film finishing process by enabling users to grade and perform multi-format mastering directly from 2k 10-bit log files.
The system provides a powerful range of real-time tools for all aspects of the digital intermediate process. Users can conform from EDL or AAF and perform many primary and secondary colour grading functions in real-time on 2K 10-bit log files. The system also removes defects and allows last minute edits.
Essential to workflow efficiency, nucoda Film Master incorporates FilmLight’s ‘Truelight’ colour cube technology into the real-time playback pipeline. As the scanned data plays back, operators can be confident that the pictures they see accurately represent the final projected film. Also, the data they are grading is the data they will export to the film recorder, HD/SD deck and DVD movie files.
