Minivegas uses Nucoda Film Master to grade animated music video for award-winning house track

Digital Vision, a leading developer of advanced digital media applications specialising in film and video solutions, has announced that London based digital production specialist, Minivegas, has used Nucoda Film Master to conform and grade the animated music video for ‘Most Precious Love’ by Blaze.
Recently voted the winner of the ‘Track of the Year’ at the House Music Awards 05, Most Precious Love will be re-released by Blaze’s record company, Defected Records, featuring the Minivegas video on the February 27 2006. The song is Defected Records’ 100th release.
Luc Schurgers, Minivegas Producer, said: “The brief given to us by Defected Records was to create a promo that showcased a digitally animated performance along with cameo appearances of Barbara Tucker and several of the Blaze DJs. We chose a cartoon look to complement caricatures of the artists and DJs.”
The whole project was completed in just five weeks and was designed and animated in-house at Minivegas. Schurgers added, “We had to design and model 20 characters. To enable us to meet the deadline, we fully designed and modeled the leading characters and then created a handful of generic models with replaceable heads for the additional characters. This allowed us to re-use animation by transferring to generic character rigs. All the characters were based on the real artists, so the faces had to bear a likeness and the designs were approved individually. The whole video was rendered in one layer and then conformed and graded using Nucoda Film Master.”
