New Networking Meetings To Bring Industry Together

If you’re a crew member, work in production, run or work in a facility or are a production company working in the field of film, TV or corporate and commercial production, Creative England could help you make new connections in 2012.
Creative England is launching a series of crew, production and facilities evenings across the English regions throughout this year, aiming to bring together crew, production, facility houses, broadcaster employees and production companies working across the film, TV and digital sectors.
Are you a crew member or work in production and, looking for new opportunities? Do you own a facility that you want to promote to producers, or are you a producer searching for the right crew and facilities for your next project? Maybe you’re a student looking to find an internship or work experience opportunity? Whatever your background, Creative England’s networking evenings will provide you with a unique opportunity to build new relationships with the industry in your region.
The 2012 sessions kick off in Leeds on Monday 30 January, where the first event will take place at the Lazy Lounge between 6-9pm. Nicky Ball (Crew & Facilities Manager) and Chris Hordley (Production Liaison Manager – Yorkshire) from Creative England’s Location and Production Services team will be on hand to make introductions.
Similar sessions will take place in Birmingham in February and Bristol in March, and further events are set to take place in Nottingham, Manchester and Sheffield (dates to be announced).
Nicky Ball (Crew & Facilities Manager) said: "We know that there is no substitute for meeting face to face; it’s far more beneficial than just another faceless CV landing on a desk. We already have more than 170 people signed up to our first Leeds event and we’re really looking forward to meeting the local industry and helping them make new connections."
