GlobeCast Boosts Presence In Americas

A leading provider of media management and global content delivery services for broadcasters and content creators, GlobeCast Americas has announced organizational changes designed to maximize the company's commercial footprint in the Americas, including the creation of a dedicated Latin American sales team and a refocusing and strengthening of ad-hoc services in North America for the broadcast of major events.
Already present with a major technical facility in South Florida and with extensive satellite coverage of the entire Latin American region, GlobeCast has now created a dedicated sales team in Sunrise, Florida led by Ricardo Flores, to cover this crucial market. The company also announced last year that it had extended its fibre network to Buenos Aires and São Paulo.
The Latin American sales team in Sunrise as well as the North American sales teams in New York and Los Angeles will provide content management, value-added services such as playout and origination, and global delivery of content to multiple platforms by satellite and fibre to broadcasters throughout the Americas. The services offered will leverage GlobeCast's capacity on 28 satellites worldwide and its proprietary, five-continent fibre network, the GlobeCast Backbone Network.
On the ad-hoc/contribution side, in North America, the company's news and sports activities have been recentered and focused to specialize on large-scale major events, providing extensive ad-hoc playout and delivery services to major broadcast clients from around the region. In Latin America, GlobeCast will provide ad-hoc services to broadcasters and events of every type.
The company uses secure fibre and satellite network connected to dozens of teleports, technical operations centres, and points-of-presence worldwide and manages and transports millions of hours of video and other rich media each year.
An integrator of audiovisual technology and a full-service provider, GlobeCast works with all the actors in the audiovisual chain from production companies to broadcasters, retail organizations, cinema chains, and more.
The company provides on-site service from major news and sporting events for coverage in SD, HD, or even 3D. Present in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia, GlobeCast is also an expert in international television markets, and works with new and established broadcasters to reach and secure distribution with leading pay-TV operators around the world.
