Globecast Unveils Hybrid, Cloud-Driven Media Services Strategy

News Image
Globecast has announced a major shift in its business model, positioning itself as an end-to-end managed media services partner ahead of the NAB Show 2026.

The company, headquartered in Paris, said it will showcase its new approach at booth W3335, highlighting how it is helping broadcasters, content owners, telecom operators and digital platforms manage increasingly complex workflows through a unified hybrid model.

Globecast's updated strategy reflects a move beyond traditional signal transport, with the company now offering operational oversight across the full media lifecycle, including acquisition, production, playout and distribution. Central to this transformation is an "anti-complexity" approach, designed to integrate existing systems without forcing customers into proprietary ecosystems.

At the core of the new model is Globecast Content Exchange, described as an intelligent orchestration layer that brings together satellite, fibre and IP networks into a single interface. The platform enables real-time monitoring, automated provisioning for live feeds, and integration with third-party media asset management systems, allowing broadcasters to deploy infrastructure quickly for live and breaking events.

Globecast also emphasised its role as a single accountable partner for managing hybrid workflows, supported by 24/7 operations centres and service-level agreements focused on uptime and speed. The company said this model is designed to reduce operational complexity while delivering reliable services for live events, remote production, cloud playout and OTT distribution.

As part of its evolution, the company will also highlight its new facility in Westlake Village. The site replaces legacy hardware with virtualised, cloud-based systems and is designed to support advanced video signal management, live sports production and more energy-efficient operations.

"With Globecast Reimagined, we are moving beyond traditional signal transport to deliver fully managed, end-to-end media operations," said Jean-Christophe Perier, Chief Marketing Officer, Globecast. "Our customers are navigating unprecedented complexity. Rather than ripping and replacing their infrastructure, we combine hybrid connectivity, cloud integration, and operational expertise to maximise the potential of their existing systems and enable seamless, continuous evolution over time. This allows them to focus on their business while we handle the performance, resilience, and scale."
