Czech TV Selects Vinten Radamec

Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand, has won an order to supply Czech TV with its high quality broadcast virtual reality equipment.
The agreement will see three Quattro SE encoded manual pedestals installed in the refurbished Czech TV studios in Prague.
The equipment will be installed as part of a rebuild programme which will provide a full HD set up in the Czech TV virtual studio. Predominantly used for sport and discussion programmes, the virtual studio will form part of Czech TV's national network, and will reinforce its position as the biggest broadcaster in the region. The Quattro SE pedestals will form a crucial element of the studio set up, working alongside a full range of equipment including Vizrt virtual studio software.
The Vinten Radamec order was secured through Czech Republic-based broadcast integrators Elvia-Pro, a company which develops, distributes and supplies a wide range of professional studio products to broadcasters around the world.
Jan Pavlik, Customer Support Engineer, Eliva-Pro said: "We have supplied Vinten Radamec’s equipment for more than seven years and we recommended these pedestals as part of the Czech TV rebuild as their robotic camera support systems always deliver on performance and offer the most reliable solutions for virtual reality applications. Once installed, the Quattro SEs will provide the studio with a faster and easier setup and much more dynamic movement of the cameras."
The manually operated Quattro SE pedestal is an ideal choice for today's virtual studios with its lightweight and compact design and its built in high quality precision encoders that provide precise real time digital electronic positioning over the floor and during elevation.
A PDA is also included to provide the configuration and operator’s user interface, significantly simplifying the set up in the virtual studio. This is delivered through the latest calibration routines, head set up and optical axis offset input, whilst also providing the operator with enhanced functionality such as quick homing, and virtual set trimming.
Vinten Radamec's robotic camera support systems are in use in some of the world's biggest broadcast studios, and the company has now completed more than 800 installations worldwide.
Karen Walker, commercial manager at Vinten Radamec said: “We are delighted that the Czech Republic’s public broadcaster has selected Vinten Radamec’s pedestals for its newly designed studio.
"The combination of simplified homing and set up procedures, precise digital electronic positioning and on shot performance ensure that the Quattro SE is an ideal solution for virtual studios around the world."
