Pyser-SGI Launch New Additions

The exclusive UK/Ireland distributor for the Studio Fujinon range has now added four new 3D high definition and two 3D extended definition zoom lenses with associated new Synchronous Control System to its range for the cinematographic market.
The new Fujinon 3D lenses, launched by Pyser-SGI, are designed to the very highest optical and mechanical specifications, with precision zoom and focus servos that allow the Control System to synchronise the left and right camera lenses used on 3D HD/SD rigs.
Paul Goodwin, Pyser-SGI's Divisional Head, Broadcast & CCTV Products commented: "Many filmmakers are now switching to 3D for that ultimate in-depth entertainment experience that puts the viewer in the thick of the action. Shooting with two cameras means that the two lenses used in tandem must be of the same focal length and, during shooting, their zoom and focus positions must move in unison and match very accurately. Moreover, the servo drives must be free from backlash. Fujinon's new 3D lenses in conjunction with the new Synchronous Control System meet all the highest optical requirements as well as the pinpoint operational accuracy demanded by the latest 3D productions. The Fujinon system permits much faster set-up times resulting in reduced production costs which has been a problem area with 3D productions until now."
