Blink supply equipment and expertise for T in the Park

Blink TV, the big screen entertainment specialists, strengthened their association with the T in The Park festival this year by also assuming responsibility for a large part of the live video production.
This year, Blink’s roles included supplying the screens and camera package for the main stages, and then filming and inserting special 'live' backstage interviews with various artists over the two-day event.
As usual, and more in keeping with their traditional core business, Blink also produced all the programming for the screens before the start of the show and during the intervals.
T in the Park is Scotland’s largest festival, held at the Old Airfield, Balado near Kinross, and over 50,000 people attended. The impressive line up of over 100 bands included The Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Oasis, No Doubt, The Foo Fighters and Groove Armada.
The video specification was upped significantly from previous years, when the use of screens had always been restricted to the FOH tower. This year, Geoff Ellis and his team at DF Concerts decided that they also wanted left and right screens on the main stage, which imbibed the whole set with much more of a sense of scale.
