Panasonic supply plasma screens to Paragon Projection

Panasonic Broadcast recently supplied Paragon Projection Company with 50 of their new 42" plasma screens, the TH42PWD4, for hire to the trade.
This major commitment by Paragon follows the rapid growth of plasma displays in the professional market, where they are becoming the most design friendly of all display systems. The new TH42PWD4 is capable of supporting a range of add-on boards and for use in plasma walls. The plasma boasts key features such as: no fans, which means quiet running, a selection of screen savers and a built-in image enlargement function for multi-screen viewing. The 42" can support plasma walls (2x2 and 3x3 screens).
Brendan Davies, General Manager, Paragon Projection Company, said: "We chose the TH42PWD4 from Panasonic because it is clearly the best screen on the market. Panasonic have an excellent reputation as plasma manufacturers, using their own plasma glass. We were very impressed by the bright picture and exceptionally high contrast ratio. The TH42PWD4 also offers versatility for hire operations with a rugged design, built-in audio amplifier, and is able to accept a wide range of computer input levels. We have recently supplied our first 3x3 video wall for hire."
According to a Panasonic spokesperson, against a background of major growth in the professional marketplace Panasonic continues to make important inroads and gain significant market share. As the operational experience of plasmas increases, life cycle costs, picture quality and overall performance start to become major issues, and Panasonic plasmas score well.
Panasonic say that a major new plasma manufacturing facility in Japan, which uses the latest production techniques, will help to further reduce production costs and allow competitive pricing.
Corporate Product Manager for Panasonic Broadcast Europe, Charlie Fenton said: "Demand for Panasonic plasmas is growing rapidly in the professional market. The lack of fans in our smaller plasmas is a major feature. However right across the range, Panasonic plasmas are building a reputation for having the brightest screens with the highest contrast ratio. That means images on Panasonic plasmas have a great deal more impact in the most demanding of installation environments such as high ambient light."
Paragon Projection, an AV rental company with head office near Birmingham and a branch office in London, holds one of the largest stocks of plasma screens, liquid display monitors and multimedia projectors in the country.
The company is trade only and excels in providing large numbers of screens for exhibition venues throughout the UK.
