Chyron Steps Up To The Plate At Great American Ball Park

Chyron has announced that the Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds, has installed Chyron's HyperX² and MicroX graphics systems to generate and manage promotional player clips, graphic messages and community billboard announcements.
HyperX2, Chyron's on-air graphics system, combined with the award-winning Lyric PRO 7 design and render engine drives breathtaking graphics of the highest quality and is rapidly becoming the graphics system choice for sports venues around the world.
Microx features broadcast-quality, real-time animation and seamless interoperability with external systems.
Great American Ball Park uses MicroX to primarily display baseball statistical information on the Daktronics HD video board through their DarkStats service via intelligent interface. With the ability to instantly update text and graphics from this service, the MicroX is ideal for disseminating information that is timely and up-to-date throughout the baseball game.
Cincinnati Reds Senior Director of Entertainment, Events and Productions Jennifer Berger said: "There were some initial reservations about MicroX being able to do what we needed, particularly since no other sports venue is using it in this way, but after we saw what MicroX was truly capable of, there was no doubt that it fit the bill.
"Not only does it perform better than expected, it has actually helped out immensely in meeting our budget targets."
