Norway’s TV Haugaland selects Chyron Duet Microx for news graphics production

Chyron Corporation has announced that TV Haugaland (TVH) based in Haugesund, Norway has installed a Chyron Duet MicroX Character Generator (CG) with Chyron’s award-winning Lyric graphics application to produce graphics for its daily news programmes.
The installation was carried out by Chyron’s Norwegian partner, Video 4.
A private local station covering the town of Haugesund in western Norway and the surrounding areas, TVH transmits 24/7, 365 days a year. The station produces its own news and magazine programmes, which are aired in three half-hour segments in the afternoon and evening, as well as a two-hour radio programme each morning. TVH also transmits TVNorge, a Norwegian station that uses local TV stations around the country to distribute its signal on the UHF band.
The Chyron Duet MicroX, which has been on air since the beginning of December 2005, is controlled manually and will be part of the station’s Building 4 Media automation system. With the ability to instantly update text and graphics from a variety of sources, the Chyron Duet MicroX is the perfect CG for live news.

With the ability to instantly update text and graphics from a variety of sources, the Duet MicroX is a cost-effective CG for live sports and news events.
