Miranda Launches NVISION Compact CQX Router

Miranda Technologies has announced that it will be launching the NVISION Compact CQX 16x2 router at IBC, which offers 'Clean and Quiet' outputs for performing seamless video and audio transitions.
The Compact CQX router features two separate emergency bypass inputs to ensure critical signal passage, even in the event of a power outage. This makes it ideal for disaster recovery back-up, and bypass master control applications and it also can be used as low-cost alternative to a master control system.
The Compact CQX can operate as a standalone unit, and can also be driven by an external control system.
"The NVISION Compact CQX is unique because, not only is it the first 3Gbps Clean and Quiet Switch, it also offers support for either a multiple line or a frame buffer. The frame buffer allows the router to realign sources which have nearly a full frame of offset and switch them without any video artifacts or audio pops that can be associated with a transition of this nature.
"This is all done with minimal delay," said Tim Walker, Product Manager, Routers at Miranda.
The 3Gbps/HD/SD router features two Clean and Quiet outputs plus six auxiliary outputs for monitoring and offers support of up to 16 channels of embedded audio. It is based on the same durable and scalable design as the rest of the NVISION Compact Router range.
The router offers selectable transition rates and multiple transitions types, including V-fade, cut-fade, fade-cut, and crossbar. It also offers support for HD and SD simulcast for multi-format applications.
The NVISION Compact Router range is available in a comprehensive array of formats, including 3Gbps, HD, SD, AES, Analog video, Analog audio and Machine control, in sizes from 8 x 8 to 32 x 32. Highly flexible configuration software is supplied as standard, which includes features like router partitioning, the ability to set IP addresses and program control panels for a more efficient workflow, as well as simplifying integration with other NVISION and third party routing systems.
Miranda will be at IBC 2009 at Stand 8: B80.
