Prism Sound Congratulates VCS Media Broadcast

The news that VCS Media Broadcast has been awarded a framework contract to provide Audio Editing and Playout solutions to the British Broadcasting Corporation is warmly welcomed by Prism Sound, owner of SADiE, which provides digital audio workstations and location recorders to many of the world's top broadcasters.
SADiE's product range is well established at the BBC, with around 800 installations throughout the organisation. Key to this success is the unique approach that SADiE has to audio editing and productivity.
Both SADiE and VCS are committed to delivering cost effective tools that provide a single, scalable, integrated solution to create a true multimedia production environment.
Thanks to an ongoing collaboration, SADiE workstations and VCS' dira! radio automation products are already integrated and it is expected that this close affiliation will even be extended.
Graham Boswell, Sales Director of Prism Sound, said: "At SADiE, we are very pleased to see VCS as the winner of this prestigious framework agreement. We view this as an endorsement by the BBC's project team of the solution already in place, which includes VCS and SADiE products.
"We have collaborated with VCS on a number of projects in the past and we fully expect this collaboration to continue. Both VCS and SADiE are focused on productivity and this is what makes the two company's product ranges such a natural fit. As part of our on-going development work, we are now looking at ways in which we can meet future requirements for all broadcasters, for example support for meta-data propagation and Windows 7."
Oliver Glese, Project Manager of VCS' Projects Department, who has been working with SADiE on the integration of the two company's product ranges, added: "The close SADiE - VCS business relationship started years ago. I have been working with SADiE on the tight integration of both software products since 2005. I am delighted with the result that another intelligent and sophisticated solution has been developed, which is already in use in various installations.
"We see the benefit of exposing the additional metadata and the interface could truly be refined in future, while making use of the additional propagated metadata of the SADiE software products."
SADiE digital audio workstations and LRX2 digital audio mixers have long been the mainstay of the broadcast community thanks to their editing and location recording capabilities. The SADiE product range is renowned for its speed and ease of use, making it ideal for radio drama production and news where the emphasis is on a quick turnaround.
