Magenta TV Completes HD Post-Production Chain With Snell Alchemist Ph.C-HD

Magenta TV, a leading full-service post-production facility in Germany's Rhine-Main region, now offers its clients the state-of-the-art in HD conversion technology with a Snell Alchemist Ph.C - HD motion-compensated standards converter.
The Alchemist Ph.C - HD system sits atop a full range of powerful conversion solutions offered by Snell, the company formed through the merger of Pro-Bel and Snell & Wilcox.
Since 1979, Magenta TV has provided video and film technical services to clients including public broadcasters, production companies, and the film industry. Magenta is a longtime user of the Snell Alchemist Ph.C for high-quality conversion of clients' SD video to be distributed in international markets. Based on its satisfaction with the SD system, Magenta TV purchased the Alchemist Ph.C - HD to round out its range of HD post-production services, which also include HD linear and nonlinear editing, HD colour correction and more.
Helmut Nink of Magenta TV said: "Our clients demand the absolute best in conversion quality for their video content that will be broadcast in international markets, and our intensive testing made it clear that the Alchemist Ph.C - HD offers the best picture quality. Plus, advanced features such as the touchscreen-based GUI and our excellent working relationship with Snell made this an easy decision.
"The addition of the Alchemist Ph.C - HD confirms our place at the forefront of the production industry and it means we can now offer the best of the best in the entire continuum of HD post-production services."
Neil Maycock, Chief Marketing Officer for Snell, said: "Alchemist Ph.C - HD is the ideal solution for high-end service providers such as Magenta TV because their clients judge their work based on the quality of the finished product. We are glad that the Alchemist Ph.C - HD is playing such an important role in Magenta TV's success and allowing the facility to exceed its clients' expectations."
