Concrete's David Cox Honoured At SGO Mistika Expert User's Meeting In Ibiza

Concrete has announced that MD and Senior Mistika VFX Artist David Cox attended the first SGO Expert Mistika User's Meeting and Conference, which took place in Ibiza last month.
Honours awards and C.A.T. certified Post Production certificates were rewarded at a prestigious SGO event for long term, experienced and advanced global users of Mistika.
The event was also held to announce new features, including a new version of the system as well as various round table discussions and presentations, which took place as well. A group of loyal Mistika users, including David Cox arrived in Ibiza in SGO sailing boats after an exciting sailing expedition across the Mediterranean Sea from Santa Pola, Alicante to Ibiza Island.
David sailed home with the Certificate of Honour - the highest award for his expertise and market knowledge; contributing to the development of the SGO Mistika software, his consistent valuable feedback and support over the years and he has been named a firm pillar of inspiration for the Spanish developer and their worldwide users for helping them with the advancement of their technology.
David was also awarded with a Post Production Certificate which means he is officially at an SGO Mistika Certified Instructor level as he has demonstrated excellent levels of abilities as an SGO specialist in the area of post production - this was certified by independent training body C.A.T. (Centre of Arts and Technology). His high profile projects over the years across all genres using the system impressed the training body and gave him this honour at the training institute in partnership with SGO.
David has worked on a range of high profile work from high-end commercials, feature films, short films, virals, promos, music videos and 3D stereoscopic material using SGO Mistika; he recently created the visual effects on a car commercial for Audi and worked on the BBC Grand National promo, filmed using the Red One camera.
Miguel Angel Doncel, CEO of SGO in Spain, stated: "David Cox was the only Mistika user to receive two prestigious awards at the event amongst a groupof over forty established Mistika graders, compositors and colourists in Europe, which is outstanding."
This is an important step for SGO Mistika as they hope to reach a wider audience now in the UK market place, having just sold a system to Brighton TV last month.
