Futureworks Awarded Pro School Status

A professional industry trainer, Futureworks in Manchester, is now offering the most advanced technology and qualified teaching staff of any Pro School, not only in the UK but also throughout Europe.
Awarded Pro School status by Digidesign in January, Futureworks is now one of only four approved training facilities in the UK and one of eight in Europe that can teach Pro Tools up to the highest level - music, icon and post production expert certification.
Its Pro Tools facilities are said to be the best in a European Pro School; Futureworks is the only approved teaching establishment to train clients and students on a 32–channel D Control Worksurface - the very latest technology that has been used to create elements of some of the most high profile films recently such as Bond and Batman.
The facility boasts 40 Pro Tools systems, the most in any Pro School, including three ICON systems, six HD systems and 20 Command 8 Worksurfaces, offering trainees the ultimate in Pro Tools technology.
Not only is Futureworks the best-equipped Pro School in Europe, but it has the teaching staff to match; two out of only three tutors that are qualified to teach Pro Tools up to Icon certified expert outside of the US are employed at Futureworks, reassuring participants that they are being taught by the very best.
Since the announcement of the Pro School status, several professional companies have signed up to a Pro Tools course including BBC, ITV, 3sixty Media and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
Chris Mayo, Managing Director of Futureworks and experienced Pro Tools instructor knows what it takes to make a successful Pro Tools school as he has now set up two of the four that are based in the UK. Commenting on Futureworks' new status.
Chris said: "Our credentials as a Pro School speak for themselves; we have the most experienced instructors combined with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, offering the perfect package to both industry clients and students.
"The fact that world renowned media companies such as the BBC and ITV are using our facilities to train their audio professionals is a huge testament to the quality here," he said, explaining that Futureworks offers a range of Digidesign certified Pro Tools training courses from beginner level up to expert level.
All courses can be taught on both Mac and PC systems and instructor led tuition is combined with practical learning using sample material.
