Omnilab Group and Digital Post join BEAM.TV

BEAM.TV, industry specialists in secure digital courier and archive services, have announced that two Australasian post houses have become BEAM Partners.
The Omnilab Group in Sydney, Australia and Digital Post in Auckland, New Zealand become the first antipodeans to join over thirty other BEAM partners. The worldwide community of post houses work together to create a fast and cost-effective international online delivery service for anything from small cut approval commercials to fully uncompressed DVD quality files.
James Douglas, Head of Broadcast Services at Omnilab, said: "BEAM.TV are providing a strong delivery solution for our clients, many of whom are part of global networks and who find it imperative that material is distributed faster than the more traditional courier systems. Omnilab have been actively promoting digital delivery methods and moving our client-base towards accepting high-quality digital files in preference to duplication. Our technical capability, combined with the international network set up by BEAM.TV, will make a sound partnership for growth in this exciting new area.”
BEAM are steadily building a community for agencies and production companies to send and receive secure, trackable files via web 'send and deliver' portals. Partners manage their own accounts and directories, and track and manage client approvals throughout a project.
The service is 'pay as you go' and not tied to any specific technology.
