UK Debut For Pro-Bel's Morpheus ICE

Pro-Bel is unveiling its revolutionary Morpheus ICE (Integrated Content Engine) for the first time in the UK at Broadcast Video Expo, between February 17 - 19 at Earls Court.
Launched at NAB in Las Vegas last April, ICE combines standard IT hardware with industry-leading automation software and is a truly future-proof automation building block.
Unlike the fixed capabilities of competing 'automation in a box' systems, the modular Morpheus ICE can be scaled up simply by adding more of the compact 3RU units as the operation expands, or could even be used to add capability to larger automation systems.
ICE is also compatible with sophisticated features normally associated with far more expensive systems, as it shares the common code base used across the entire Morpheus range.
One example is Morpheus Media Ball secondary event management, where customers create and store their own treatment for a given asset. Results are either delivered on the fly, or archived as a VOD programme for example. Each Media Ball 'macro' could include instructions to insert logo bugs, ticker messages or define a predetermined format, thereby eliminating repetitive keystrokes and the risk of operator error.
Whether used for scheduled channel playout, low-cost backup, previews of regional opt-out to an existing Morpheus installation or web and mobile delivery, ICE can do it all.
Associated with the most reliable routing switchers in the industry for more than 30 years, Pro-Bel is also showing its Pyxis series for small and medium-sized installations plus the award-winning Sirius, which can be expanded to switch more than 2,000 x 2,000 HD channels and offers totally transparent and automatic conversion of any input to any output.
A 3Gbps Sirius capable of handling signals in the much-vaunted 1080p format (1080 lines scanned progressively compared to today's interface) was launched at last year's IBC in Amsterdam
Understanding the importance of router control, Pro-Bel engineers have now developed a free new web-based interface for remotely accessing Halo, Pyxis, Sirius and Cygnus routers, complementing the existing variety of pushbutton, keypad, LCD and software-based panel options.
Finally, in the Vistek modular infrastructure range, Pro-Bel is showing a selection of fibre-terminated signal processing cards, including new 3Gbps dual transmitters and receivers featuring SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical modules.
Pro-Bel will be at Stand E.12 at BVE,
