Ross Video To Launch SoftMetal Server V4.0 Software At IBC2008

Ross Video will be launching SoftMetal Version 4.0 software during IBC2008 at Stand 9.D30.
Version 4.0 will begin shipping after IBC and will be available at no charge to all current SoftMetal customers.
Key new features in SoftMetal version 4.0 software include:
  • MXF Native Record and Playback Support for HD and SD clips
  • QuickTime Native SD Playout
  • Close Captioning Support
  • Embedded Audio Support, 16 Channels per video input and output
  • Stereoscopic (3D) Record and Playback
  • Numerous other Enhancements

SoftMetal is a line of multi-definition video servers designed for live production and master control applications. SoftMetal excels in its ability to support file-based workflows for video clips and graphics.
