Hook Films Announce New Signing

Hook Films, the new Covent Garden-based production company founded by established industry figure Michael MacMillan, has announced that it has signed Robert Nylund to represent the company in the UK.
Nylund joins from the Paul Weiland Film Company. Hook said that Nylund's work not only reflects his ability to capture great performances, but also to tell great stories and switch between beautifully constructed genres, placing him in quite a unique position as a commercials director in the UK.
Nylund's recent credits include Volkswagen, Carlsberg and Nissan to name a few.
Hook also represents Keith McCarthy, a talented writer and director with a distinct cinematic feel to his work. His love of narrative enables him to create unique characters that inhabit perfectly believable, and often surprising, worlds.
Prior to Hook, MacMillan enjoyed various roles within the advertising industry, both on the agency and production company side and was most previously Head of TV at Krow Communications.
He said: "I am proud to be launching in an industry for which I have always had a tremendous passion. Even during a time of ever decreasing margins and increasing competition, Hook strives to make each production memorable.
"Having gained great experience in both production and advertising, it felt completely natural to combine this unique work experience and knowledge and set up on my own.
