Gearhouse Broadcast Shows Talent

For the second year running, Gearhouse Broadcast, a leading international broadcast services company, were awarded the contract to supply all radio microphone equipment for the hosts, judges and contestants for the ITV live studio show stages of nationwide talent contest 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The show that attracted an average audience of 13.1 million provided a great challenge for Gearhouse Broadcast. Fifty channels of radio microphones comprising 40xSennheiser SK5012/, the new SK5212, 6xSKM 5200 hand-held and 2xSKP 30 plug on tx units. MIKE Platinum lapel microphones were used for all presenters and contestants for ITV1 and also for the ITV2 spin-off 'Britain's Got More Talent'.
The purpose-built Titan ProSplit antenna combiner/splitter fed multiple zones of RF coverage to the 7 racks of Sennheiser EM1046 receiver cards. Planning of the show began with a detailed frequency blueprint provided by Gearhouse Broadcast Audio.
Gearhouse Broadcast audio managed all stages from planning, kit preparation and delivery to onsite installation. Continual support proved critical, especially with the unpredictable nature of the show, to providing seamless integration of wireless radio microphones for such a large studio based light entertainment production.
