Edit Store Moves From Fairlight To Pro Tools And Icon ES With Scrub

Previously reliant on Fairlight for its audio dubbing technology, London post facility the Edit Store has moved entirely to Pro Tools with five new systems supplied by the specialist audio post reseller Scrub.
In a comprehensive refit of the Bayley Street facility, a new Digidesign ICON D-Control ES console has been installed in the main Dubbing Theatre 1, with ICON D-Commands in the smaller Dubbing Theatres 2 and 3. Two prep rooms have each been equipped with Pro Tools LE systems for voiceovers etc.
Edit Store co-owner Chris Rodmell said: "Pro Tools is now clearly established as the market leader and Scrub were able to demonstrate a very solid business case for making the move.
"Scrub are renowned for offering a very high level of service and that was certainly our experience, with Ben (Nemes) and his team always available and particularly helpful during the transition period."
With the installation now complete, the newly refitted rooms are already busy with productions including the five-part HD 5.1 series True Stories for Channel 5 (UK)/Smithsonian (USA) and the two-part ITV documentary The Duchess in Hull for Spun Gold Productions.
For more than 15 years, Edit Store has offered clients a full suite of sound and picture post production services including on and off-line editing, colour grading, audio dubbing, voiceovers and sound design.
