FlyingTV Marks Fourth Anniversary

News Image
FlyingTV has marked its fourth anniversary of its first aerial filming task.
The first task followed a call from BBC News to provide aerial shots of a failed bullion robbery scene at Heathrow Airport.
Since then the company has flown over 1700 hours with their two specialist TV helicopters, which work across the full range of TV programmes and corporate projects.
With current credits for Top Gear, X Factor, ITV Factual, BBC Current Affairs and live shots for the forthcoming UEFA Cup Final in Manchester for ITV Sport, FlyingTV will be airborne on their May 18 anniversary for Channel 4's coverage of the Reading Triathlon.
To mark the anniversary, the company are offering reduced charges.
FlyingTV are the only UK operator to offer a daily rate and are now the first to abolish charges for stock and landing fees, which, they claim, could save clients £100 a day.
Mike Smith, Founder of FlyingTV, said: "This represents a reduction in costs, because we have previously charged extra for tape and landing fees. But we started this business as a reaction to the crazy prices being charged by aerial filming companies, and we now have a solid, proven track record which shows we did the right thing four years ago.
"With all that experience we are confident enough to fly in the face of the current trend to increase costs everywhere. We're having a record-breaking year - and I'm very happy to share that success with over 300 existing clients and any new ones that want to join us."
FlyingTV offers aerial filming from just £900, with a daily maximum of £3800. It is the only aerial filming company offering an online-searchable collection of stabilised aerials. Mastershot now contains nearly 400 unique clips in high-quality digital video, shot entirely by the company's own crews and helicopters.
