LARGEST AERIAL FILMING PROJECT IN WALES
IN ONE of the largest aerial filming projects ever in the country, Andy Brice Productions is currently filming around Wales using a specially equipped helicopter.
Recorded in over 300 locations, the footage generated will be used in two series, commissioned by S4C and HTV, to be transmitted next year and the year after.
One of the programmes to be aired on S4C will be ‘A History of Wales’ – with all the visuals being from the air. The other series, called ‘The Shape of Wales’, is to be shown on HTV and focuses on the coastline of Wales.
The production team is led by Series Producer, Andy Brice, who made HTV’s successful documentaries featuring Desmond Llewelyn, who played ‘Q’ in the James Bond films. The aerial team, led by Richard Mervyn, is one of Europe’s leading helicopter filming specialists.
HTV’s series looks at the way the coastline of Wales has changed over the years, and examines how people have used the coast both in the distant and the more recent past, and compare this with the present day.
The programmes will include short interviews with people who live and work on the coast.
