Cammotion Launch Vortex Aerial Camera Mount System At Broadcast LIVE

Cammotion, specialists in camera control technology, launched Vortex aerial camera mount system, the company’s first product, at Broadcast Live.
Vortex is an innovatie system for high angle aerial shots and on shot vetical tracking from grund level up to 30 metres (or the 12th storey of a building).
Vortex offers new possibilities in filming. The self-supporting system is designed for use in harsh outdoor conditions and on uneven ground. Compact in transport and with a small operational footprint, Vortec can access location previously unattainable for vertical tracking or high angle shots. Above all, Vortex is quick to set up and can easily relocate several times in one day.
On a Lynx golf course, Vortex can provide stunning vertical tracking shots starting with a close up of the golf ball at tee-off tracking up to aerial views of the fairway and beyond. During the day, Vortex can be relocated to follow the action from tee-off at the first hole to the final drama of the 18th green.
The applications of Vortex are not just restricted to outside broadcast. Vortex fits though double doors for use inside a building’s atrium or to access a courtyard. The camera can then track the action from ground level up or down a building, in large stairwells and through glass lifts.
"Vortex is an exciting new piece of kit for use in all areas of broadcast and film," said Matt Gladstone, founder of Cammotion. "I kept the system operator-friendly with the option of manual or pre-programmed moves."
Vortex will lift a camera from 0 to 30m on shot in 15 seconds, or at slower vertical tracking speeds. Vortex also has built in HD compatibility. A remote head provides standard pan and tilt features. The camera can be overslung for 350 degrees panning or underslung for ground level shots.
