APT Launches New Website

News Image
Audio compression specialist APT has launched a new website that is designed to provide useful information to customers, potential customers and all those interested in audio coding and codecs.
The site is now much easier for customers to navigate. Its new look provides a distinct identity for each of APT’s two business areas – Broadcast Products and the licensing of Intellectual Property. It also gives the company a professional showcase for its product and technology offerings.
Jon McClintock, APT’s commercial director, said: "The new website reflects the depth and breadth of APT's product portfolio, both as a technology provider and a codec manufacturer. The content is clear, concise and readily accessible to both Licensing partners and codec users."
The Broadcast Products section is designed to give practical advice on audio network configuration for studio-transmitter links, inter-studio networking and remotes, as well as technology-specific information for audio transfer over IP and T1/E1 networks.
The Licensing section includes a Technology Portfolio detailing the various types of apt-X algorithm that are available under license to Pro Audio, Consumer Audio and Broadcast OEMs. It also gives advice on applications and explains the process of requesting a license.
As part of the re-design, APT has incorporated free demonstration software downloads and PDF guides offering lots of useful information such as APT’s Practical Guide to IP Audio Networking. This reviews IP networks and their implications for real-time audio transfer and is vital reading for anyone who specifies both networks and equipment for audio over IP broadcasting.
