Granada International To Distribute UK Indie Production 'Instinct'

Granada International is to distribute the brand new drama to be produced by UK indie Tightrope, 'Instinct', it has been announced by Nadine Nohr, Managing Director.
Instinct is a 2 x 70 minute drama mini-series for ITV 1 written by Lizzie Mickery, creator of Messiah and co-creator of The State Within. Executive produced by Hilary Bevan Jones and Paul Abbott, Instinct will star Anthony Flanagan (Cracker; Shameless).
The production also stars Tom Ward (Silent Witness) and Christine Bottomley (Clocking Off, Vincent).
Instinct is directed by Terry McDonough (The Street, Vincent) and produced by Paul Frift.
Instinct is a tense, character-driven, contemporary thriller introducing DCI Thomas Flynn (Anthony Flanagan), a young, extremely talented detective.
Instinct – a dark, complex thriller whose heart beats in the rich emotional lives of its characters.
Noel Hedges, Head of Drama at Granada International, commented: “We are very pleased to be working once again with Tightrope. Instinct has all the marks of a great drama – an award-winning writer, superb cast and a production company at the very top of its game. We look forward to launching Instinct to the international market in April next year at MIP-TV.”
This announcement follows the recent deal between Granada International and Tightrope for the former to distribute 'All In The Game' starring Ray Winstone.
Tightrope is an independent production company set up in 2003 by award-winning writer Paul Abbott (Shameless, State of Play) and award-winning producer and Chair of BAFTA, Hilary Bevan Jones. The company has already produced a number of highly successful dramas including Emmy-award winning 'The Girl in the Café'; 'To The Ends of the Earth' and 'Dad'.
