Audio Ltd Introduce 'miniTX' at IBC 2006

At IBC, Audio Ltd introduced the new miniTX transmitter that answers the call for a more slimline and lightweight mobile microphone transmitter unit.
The new miniTX transmitter features smoothly rounded edges to improve artist comfort and minimise its outline under clothing.
Audio's unique infra-red control interface allows changes to the frequency, microphone gain setting and Low frequency cut as well as checking the battery status and turning the TX on and off without touching the unit itself, using the SwitchiR.
The sound professional can also use the unique Control-X device to switch the transmitter on and off, even when it is worn beneath clothing. The remote control features can also be operated from Palm PDA, using the free downloadable AudiR for Palm software application from the website.
The battery compartment is integrated into the transmitter case and accommodates two AAA batteries. With a typical power drain of 25mW up to six hours can be achieved with Alkaline cells, and longer with lithium cells.
The unit is fully compatible with the RMS2040 and RMS 2020 32 pre-programmed frequencies, with a switching bandwidth of up to 24MHz, which is the equivalent of three European TV channels, or four US channels.
Despite its host of new features, the transmitter is just 16.5mm (D) x 82mm (H)x 48mm (W), and boasts full compatibility with Audio’s receivers.
