Record IBC TV Audience Demonstrates Rise Of Web TV

TelecomTV, the official online TV partner to the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), have announced record high viewing figures for IBC TV online, underlining the growing importance of WebTV as the channel of choice for telecoms executives.
In run-up to IBC 2006, TelecomTV hosted six panel discussions focusing on the key issues to be debated within the IBC Conference. Having only streamed five of these to date, viewing figures are rocketing just short of the 8,000 mark.
Michael Crimp, Marketing and Business Development Director for IBC commented: “Our partnership with TelecomTV signifies how IBC is evolving in global status amongst the top tier Chief Executives. Moreover, we recognise a convergence amongst broadcast and telecommunications markets.”
Crimp adds: “Telecom TV has a distinguished portfolio of high-level subscribers spanning both telecommunications and mobile sectors. This partnership is helping us reach key players who may be unfamiliar with IBC.”
TelecomTV’s audience profile comprises: Corporate Management (40%); CEO / Chairman / President / MD (22%); Consultants and Analysts (14%); Non-managerial (10%); R&D (7%); Media: (7%).
Sean Carr, Managing Director for TelecomTV, commented: “Our appointment at IBC this year is testament to the fact that webTV is fast being adopted as an invaluable resource for corporations that require real-time global reach in their communications. IBC is an exciting time for TelecomTV as we announce a number of new technologies geared to propel the sheer depth of global communications in terms of real-time end-user interaction on a global reach and news streams ‘on-the-go’.”
TelecomTV will be located in the Holland Hall Press Office at IBC, and the dedicated IBC webTV site is available at
