Commercial broadcasters receive Jampro treatment

Bill Bordeaux, Chief Engineer for American General Media's KBOX-FM and KPAT-FM, recently turned to Jampro Antennas/RF Systems of Sacramento to fulfill an urgent need for the rigid transmission line he needed to connect two transmitters to their combiner.
Bordeaux explained: "In order to properly connect our two transmitters to the combiner we needed 20 feet of 1 5/8 and 20 feet of 3 1/8 inch rigid transmission line. The project involved moving both transmitters to a new building, installing a combiner and hanging a new antenna on a new tower."
KBOX and KPAT are commercial stations owned by American General Media that broadcast to the Santa Maria, California area. KBOX's broadcasts 'Pirate Radio' format at 104.1 FM and KPAT is Hip Hop at 95.7 FM.
Jampro is well known in the broadcast industry for its capability to provide shipments of antennas and antenna components on a rush basis. As one of the world's leading antenna designers, it stocks a large inventory of its complete line of radio and television antennas as well as manual patch panels, band pass filters, RF components, notch filters and splitters. The company also stocks most every accessory needed for installations, such as Jampro Pro Line rigid transmission lines assemblies, flanges, quickstep reducers, 45 and 90-degree elbows. Design plans for discontinued Jampro models are kept on file and antennas and replacement parts are promptly made to order.
Most important to customers needing fast delivery and precise pattern coverage is the fact that Jampro can factory-tune its antennas to any frequency in the FM Band II (87.5-108 MHz) on its own full-field test range on a tower structure that best simulates the customer's actual tower. This ensures accurate, documented patterns and problem - free installations.
