Jampro System Chosen For HD-Radio Transmission In Mexico

Jampro Antennas, a supplier of antennas, combiners, filters and radio frequency components for every application in the broadcast industry, based in Sacramento, California, has announced that Imagen Telecommunicaciones, S.A. de C.V., has selected a Jampro JADP antenna system for the first permanent HD-radio installation in Mexico City.
Imagen, a newly formed network of radio broadcasting stations, serves Mexico City and the nation with coverage over stations HHDL-FM (98.5 MHz) XEDA-FM (90.5 MHz) and XELA-AM (830 KHz).
In addition to the JADP antenna, Jampro will provide a turnkey HD installation comprised of a RCCC combiner, Jampro Proline rigid and heliax transmission line and related RF gear.
HD-ready, the JADP model is a cavity-backed premium broadband antenna that is available in odirectional and directional patterns. A wide-band element excites a cavity resonator for maximum beam control. The design results in an antenna that is superior to standard flat panel designs, provides low VSWR, uniform pattern and axial ratio control across a wide band of frequencies. The feed system, available in both single and dual feed configurations, includes dry air ressurized power dividers, feed baluns and flexible copper coax cables. Balun and dipole feeds can be enclosed in a radome for harsh weather sites. Because the JAPD is made of marine grade brass and copper, Imagen expects the JAPD to have a long life despite the caustic atmospheric conditions found in and around Mexico City.
