Jampro pattern measurement service used in Oklahoma City

When KEBC-FM wanted to achieve maximum coverage with their new Jampro JMPC antenna they relied on the Jampro's expert pattern measurement service to field tune the antenna. KEBC, which broadcasts to the greater Oklahoma City area at 94.7 FM, wanted the utmost penetration for its signal among a cluster of other stations without interfering with the competition.
The three-bay JMPC installed at KEBC is the medium power version (10 kW maximum input) of Jampro's Penetrator line. The antenna was initially tested at the factory and tuned to KEBC's frequency and desired directional pattern at Jampro's test range on a tower that best simulated KEBC's own. The JMPC is designed with features, however, that allowed it to be fine-tuned following installation to achieve maximum effectiveness.
The JMPC is known for its rugged construction, durability and reliable performance in tough weather conditions. Made of high quality marine brass and copper, the antenna has available fiberglass radomes to help protect the antenna against environmental hazards, such as Oklahoma dust. Galvanized steel mounted brackets support each antenna bay which consists of a Penetrator style radiating element with a 1-5/8 inch shunt feed line. Silver-plated, inner conductor connectors are used throughout the JMPC to ensure minimum contact life and minimum loss of power. Each antenna bay is DC grounded for protection against lightning. The JMPC is also available for multiple frequencies and circular polarization offers excellent performance for HD, stereo and SCA operation.
KEBC-FM is a commercial station owned by Clear Channel Communications (NYSE:CCU), which syndicates 70 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliations and reaches over 190 million listeners weekly, seven days a week. In addition to providing vital airplay information to the music industry, the company provides research to nearly 1,700 affiliated radio stations on a barter subscription basis.
