Deltron Balances & Isolates Audio

The Deltron – BES range of audio balancing units provides the means to deal with mixed balanced and unbalanced audio signals, both analogue and digital.
Many installations, particularly OB trucks, are faced with a requirement to deal with a mixture of audio signal types due to the different I/O provided by the various pieces of equipment. There has been a move to “single-ended” 75 ohm AES style audio and this has been encouraged by the take-up of the latest 5.1 Surround Sound Systems.
These signals can be distributed via traditional AES distribution amplifiers, but these tend to be differential.
The BES ABU-07 provides 75 ohm BNC conversion to 110 ohm XLR signals and vice versa.
An important part of the specification of these units is their ability to provide electrical isolation from input to output.
These units, then, solve two problems at once – balanced to unbalanced conversion and ground isolation.
These properties are ideal for OB applications. The range of audio balancing/isolation products has passive and active variants. This allows the selection of the optimum solution.
The BES ABU-01 is a passive unit designed for analogue audio signals, whilst the ABU-04 is an active analogue unit designed for professional use with adjustable gain.
The range has options of connectors of XLR, D-type, BNC and RCA (phono) for maximum versatility.
