Red Bee Media Awarded New Contract

Red Bee Media has been awarded the contract to playout five’s new channels, five life and five US.
Red Bee Media already provides disaster recovery, signing and audio description services for five.
The new channels, which are to launch across all digital platforms this autumn, will be played out from Red Bee Media’s Broadcast Centre in West London, the most advanced playout facility in Europe.
“We are delighted to extend our relationship with five and are looking forward to helping it deliver its digital strategy,” said John Pink, Commercial Director at Red Bee Media.
“five is very pleased to be enhancing its arrangements with Red Bee Media. It will be a natural extension of the facilities that they have been providing to us for disaster recovery,” said David Burge, five’s Controller of Broadcast Services. (CD)
